Supervised study programs, test files, and Big Brother activities help emphasize scholastic excellence.

Fraternities inspire higher standards of conduct

The fundamental principles upon which a fraternity is established teaches respect for others, self discipline, loyalty, and it provides it members a sense of brotherhood.

The Texas Tau Mu chapter of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity stresses a great deal of importance on Brotherhod. Manuel Rivas, past chapter president says, "this fraternity was founded on the ideals of brotherhood and at this chapter, we strive to uphold those principles instilled in us since 1989, when the origins of the brother of Phi Kappa Theta began."

Fraternities create a sense of "belonging"

The campus environment can be cold and impersonal, but the fraternity can provide a warm, close knit, group of friends with similar interests and ambitions.

Fraternities develop leadership ability and responsibility

Fraternities train men to meet the challenges of management. Over 70% of U.S. corporate officers belong to fraternities.

Fraternities instill a spirit of concern for others

Many service projects from cleaning the local park to aiding a charity drive are undertaken. Members gain experience while working together for unselfish goals.

Being in a national fraternity means joining a network of active members and alumni around the nation.

Academic Excellence

We strive to maintain to be above the all men's GPA for fraternities. We maintain this high academic standards by having a system of study hours.

Philanthropy

Our national philanthropic organization is the Children's Miracle Network. On the local level, we also participate in mentoring programs as well as projects to aid the surrounding community.

Brotherhood

In a university with more than 50,000 students, it's very easy to get lost in the crowd. Joining Phi Kappa Theta provides a family within this large community, giving you the opportunity to develop friendships that last forever.

Economically

The chapter understands the financial challenges of today's college student. Therefore, a due structure has been established that is divided into installments to make payments less demanding.

Socially

Part of the college experience is interacting with other students and Phi Kappa Theta allows you to do this through parties, mixers, and other social functions. Without a doubt, Phi Kaps know how to have a good time!
