Together as true men, our chapters will be able to support a cause we can be proud of. A special sense of kinship will exist visually as members, alumni, associates and friends (women included) wear our Movember pride and Phi Kaps Care logo. All proceeds from these shirts will go towards the Movember organization on behalf of Phi Kappa Theta. Click on the image below to purchase a shirt. ![]() Trick or Treat for Canned GoodsBy: Felix Rodriguez II The gentlemen of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, Inc. collaborated with the ladies of Delta Zeta Sorority, IFC member Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and Kappa Sigma in Delta Zeta's annual Trick or Treat for Canned Goods benefiting the RGV Food Bank. The participating organizations informed the community the day before the event via a flyer campaign. The day of the event all participating organizations split up into groups and combed the city for canned goods. Brother Alfredo L. Gonzalez stated "it is a great way to give back to community and having fun while doing it". Pictured IFC members Phi Kappa Theta and Tau Kappa Epsilon. ![]() UTPA Midnight Madness 2011By: Felix Rodriguez II A UTPA annual tradition to kickoff the basketball season, Midnight Madness (MM) is a highlight event for the fall semester. Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, Inc. participates in the annual event from the fajita cook-off to the main event of the night the dance competition. According to associate member James De La Garza, "Midnight Madness was cool". Phi Kaps:Was this your 1st MM? James: Yes it was. Phi Kaps: What did you do to prepare? James: We practiced for three weeks straight. Phi Kaps: Was this what you expected from MM? James: Yes, and looking forward to next year. The active chapter and the associate members that participated in the event all enjoyed themselves and excited for next year's MM.
Paint the Campus PinkBy: Felix Rodriguez II The gentlemen of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, Inc. partnered with the ladies of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. and Eta Omega Tau Sorotity, Inc. to paint the University of Texas - Pan American campus PINK. The ladies and gentlemen put up pink ribbons and balloons on trees and pillars throughout campus. All respective organizations that participated woke up early to be on campus at 5:45am. This was UTPA's 1st Annual Paint the Campus Pink and soon to become a long standing tradition at the University of Texas - Pan American. ![]() The Brothers of the Texas Tau Mu chapter of Phi Kappa Theta (THE Phi Kaps of Texas) are proud to announce our support for Purple Day - Epilepsy Around the World.
Cassidy Megan created the idea of Purple Day in 2008, motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy. Cassidy's goal is to get people talking about epilepsy in an effort to dispel myths and inform those with seizures that they are not alone. The Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia came on board in 2008 to help develop Cassidy's idea which is now known as the Purple Day for epilepsy campaign. -> Click Here for More Details

Phi Kaps Help New Fraternity on CampusThree of our local brothers of the Texas Tau Mu chapter of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity joined together to form a Web Development company. The first official client they picked up is Sigma Kappa Phi Multicultural Fraternity, Inc. "This project was more than just another website," says Brother Antonio Morales who is one of the three brothers who worked on the website, "this project also helps us promote greek unity and crush the bad stigma fraternities have." Greek Week Winners THE Phi Kappa Theta Texas Tau Mu Chapter is proud to be the 20Ten Greek Week Champions at The University of Texas at Pan-American.
